Missed the Root Sale? Need more tubers?


The Greater Kansas City Dahlia Society
recently held its
2012 Annual Dahlia Root Sale

Good news for those who were unable to attend the sale or have decided they want more tubers.

Dahlia tubers are still available by appointment at $4.00 each by contacting Bernard at 816-763-7526.

Prices on large quantities may be negotiable.

Most Perfect Bloom at Missouri State Fair Dahlia Show

Greater Kansas City Dahlia Society member Bernard Lohkamp received Most Perfect Bloom/Sweepstakes in the Dahlia Show at the 2011 Missouri State Fair on August 20. The flower was named: Variety Hy Clown.  See photos at the following web site.

October 23 Awards Presentation


Congratulations to Norma Mason, Denise Erhart, Charlie Lowe, Bernard Lohkamp, and Randy Burfeind who presented winning dahlias at the September 2011 KC Dahlia Society Show.  Trophies, metals, and ribbons were presented at the October 23rd meeting.

Dahlias in the award-winning line-up included Creve Couer, I Chi, Rebecca Lynn, Ms Kennedy, Belle of Barma, Marble Ball, Crossfield Eboney, Alpen Cherub, Elivira, Hollyhill Lou, Midnight Dancer, Spartacus, and a First-Year Seedling.
